Doquz Himaa is part of the Himaa tribe, a tribe where most children born are in twoe's.
And as fate has it, so were her and her sister born, twins.
Doquz and Doyi were born and grew up in the steppe's.
Doquz was the calmer twin. The one who was dragged along with Doyi's antics.
In their childhood and even now her twin sister rushed into battle, which made her a better fighter, a better protector for her sister.
This was how she picked up her weapon.. and how it eventually came to be that her inner beast awakened.
Most tribes in the Steppe's had a law in place for when these things happened. If a Xaela shows signs of this they are to be exiled,
into a tribe with others who cannot control this rage.. until they eventually lose their minds.. and maybe even kill each other.
But her twin had other ideas. Doyi unlike her did not accept that fate for her. They were twins, they were connected was what Doyi
had told her at that point in time. Reluctantly she had agreed with the plan to leave the steppe's. First they stayed in Reunion, gathering
supplies, money and information about the places beyond the mountains.
They left the Steppe's behind, stayed in Kugane briefly, before crossing the ruby sea over to Eorzea. It was hard at first for them to acustomize themselves to Eorzean customs. The odd adventuring job here and there was what kept them afloat. That was how they survived, until they met Aoi who took them under her wing and into her free company.
